If a shopper attends with their pet, Chuck & Don's will donate two pounds of pet food.

The Food Bank of the Rockies serves nearly 400,000 people who struggle to feed themselves. Many of these families have pets. Last year, the Food Bank of the Rockies distributed more than 36.4 million pounds of food, some of it pet food, throughout Denver, Northern Colorado, and Wyoming. The Food Bank of the Rockies works with community agencies to ensure that families are able to provide for themselves and their furry friends.

Chuck & Don's will also launch its 1st annual Paw Prints campaign which runs from November 14 to December 31 in Denver. Customers will have the opportunity to buy a $1 paw print which raises funds for the Humane Society of the South Platte Valley. Last year in Minnesota, Chuck & Don's customers raised $36,320 and the pet food supplier matched 25% of the donations for a total of $45,400. The paw prints will be displayed in store windows for the holiday season.

About Food Bank of the Rockies

Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR) was founded in 1978 and was known as the Colorado Food Clearing House. Operating from a 900-square-foot schoolroom in northwest Denver, the fledgling organization collected food from nearby Safeway stores and distributed it to one agency. Today, FBR has extended its reach across Northern Colorado and Wyoming, providing food supplies to more than 1100 hunger-relief programs. Since 1978, FBR has provided nearly 431 million pounds of food to our member agencies, which translates to more than 336 million meals for people in need. Last year, we distributed 39.4 million pounds of food, enough to provide 84,000 meals each day to children, seniors and families in need. FBR is a member of Feeding America.
