Ronald McDonald House works with local recycling centers to receive money for collecting tabs from aluminum cans. You can help! Pick-up a collection container at any Chuck & Don’s, or drop-off your pop tabs at Chuck & Don’s.

Katie K9's book Simple Cooking for Dogs 101, details the importance of adding "people food" to your dog's diet to supplement commercial food. See recipes that cater to your dog's tastes while making it possible for them to live longer happier lives. Its only available from Katie's website or in-store at her appearances at Chuck & Don's.

Celebrate The ‘Best’ Dog Day Of Summer Walk

White Bear Lake, Thursday, August 5, 4 - 9 pm
Walk route from Lions Park to Clark Avenue in White Bear Lake. Live entertainment and restaurant specials along the route. Take your dog and family for an evening walk to help benefit the White Bear Lake Rotary Club STRIVE College Scholarship and the White Bear Lake Chapter of Let’s Go Fishing.

To purchase a $20 Family & Dog ticket or get more information, stop by the Let’s Go Fishing Booth (across from Lake Country Booksellers) during any Thursday Night Marketfest at Hwy. 61 and 4th Street in downtown White Bear Lake. Tickets will also be available at Lions Park the night of the event.

Animal Communicator

Teri Ann Lapsey, a nationally known animal-communicator, offers 15-minute sessions with your pet for $20. Bring in five questions to ask your pet about their behavior. Likes, dislikes, fun silly things they do and why. Appointments are needed! Questions are welcome!

MN Humane Society Adoption Day

MHS is the oldest humane society in Minnesota and extends its care and concern to all animals - both domesticated and wild. MHS volunteers will be at our Minneapolis-Calhoun store store, so you can learn more about this great organization and maybe find a new furry friend to add to your family.

Border Collie Rescue of Minnesota is an all-volunteer, 501c3 non-profit organization that accepts pedigreed, non-verified, and mixed Border Collies from owners, shelters, and other rescue organizations. All rescued dogs (puppies, adults, and seniors) are placed with foster families. All listed dogs are spayed or neutered (unless health reasons preclude the procedure), micro-chipped, fully vaccinated, and heartworm free. Border Collie Rescue of Minnesota matches families with Border Collies of compatible temperament and abilities and promotes responsible pet guardianship.

At Halo, we are dedicated to the survival and care of Havanese. We feel strongly that getting a Havanese out of a puppy mill and ultimately having it spayed/neutered is saving unborn puppies from a puppy mill life. All of our rescues go into experienced foster homes to get a jump start on their new and better life. Our goal is to save one Havanese at a time and insure it has a safe and happy home.

It’s a family-oriented blend of the unique comedy and juggling skills of Gregory Popovich, and the extraordinary talents of his performing pets. Each of the show’s 15 cats and 10 dogs were once strays, rescued from animal shelters. Now, they love to show off onstage by performing a variety of stunts and skits! Animal Humane Society
Animal Humane Society’s (AHS) Double the Love cat adoption program was so successful, it is ready to launch once again. Beginning March 1st, customers can adopt one cat or kitten at the regular adoption fee and the fee will be waived for the second cat. The Double the Love program is available at all five locations: Buffalo, Coon Rapids, Golden Valley, St. Paul and Woodbury. Customers have the first choice of adopting  a cat or kitten of any age with the second cat one year of age or older. Customers can choose two felines from any kennel or room in AHS Adoption Centers.  The Double the Love offer is available only at the time of adoption, and is not retroactive. Both cats must be adopted at the same time. No other discounts apply. See the Animal Humane Society website or call 763-522-4325.
