Through the depth of our expertise and quality of our products we strive to improve the quality of life for pets and their owners. Our commitment to animals goes well beyond that. Since its inception, Chuck & Dons has been involved in a wide variety of community-based initiatives.

Contributions in funding and hands-on involvement go to a variety of pet-related causes, with a special focus on spaying and neutering stray animals. Team members are encouraged to become involved in volunteerism. We have initiated many ways to express this tradition through a wide variety of modes and venues:

In-store Adoptions Chuck & Don’s partners with local animal rescue organizations and most of our stores showcase 1 - 3 cats available for adoption. We also host many adoption days throughout the year. See a list of stores and their corresponding adoption organizations.

Holiday Paw Prints Chuck & Don’s stores collect customer donations of $1 per paw print. All donations go to animal rescues who help and care for homeless pets.

Jerry the Dog Jerry is the house-dog at the Ronald McDonald House of the Twin Cities. Jerry’s special role includes visits to the children and families staying at the House for treatment. Chuck & Don’s sponsors Jerry the Dog by donating his food, toys, treats, and grooming. See a list of Jerry's appearances on our Events page.
