| QUESTION:
I have a 13 year old Schnauzer that started seizuring - very drunken sailor type of seizure I believe due to food. The schnauzer's has 0.8thyroid, normal is 2.5 I am needing a low fat low protein quality food. Started thyroid meds., going well, waiting on RoyalCanin low fat (5%) food from vet. Do you know of a better option nutritionally? Currently cooking jasmine rice w/ less than 1/4 cup Instinct Rabbit, RoyalCanin will be at vet's tomorrow. Blood work is great other than thyroid number and slightly elevated cholesterol. |
| ANSWER:
Dear Denise, Thank you for contacting me regarding your Schnauzer. It is great that your pet is currently under the care of a vet. Because your pet is under the care of the vet, any decision you make regarding what to feed your Schnauzer should be made after consultation with the vet. I do hope that you will be able to find a solution to your pet's health concerns. Thank you and good luck to you and our Schnauzer! "The Chuck" |
