I have a dog that is allergic to fish, especially salmon. Can you recommend a dog food to help control his weight. He is active in agility. Whenever I put him on diet he starts eating poop. He seems to gain more weight doing that. There are two other dogs in the household.

We have a large amount of foods that are lower in fat that do not contain salmon. Wellness Core has a no grain that is lower in fat that might work for your dog. The Core would have more protein than some lower fat diets and would give him the energy to do agility. You will still need to measure his food so he doesn't get too much to eat and gain weight.

As for the eating poop we carry a product called SEP - stop eating poop. This is a natural product that you add to his food. Most dogs will stop eating poop with this product. If these types of products don't work the only other option would be to pick up all waste when the dog goes so it isn't available for him to eat.
