My girlfriend just bought some GO naturals allstages dog food we have an 11 week old small breed puppy and i am wondering if a puppy formulated dog food would be better we are still feeding the puppy puppy food from the breeder and will probably be stopping in to your store on wed. I guess i would like your opinion on the subject as my vet says to use a puppy formulated food ????

As long as you are feeding a well balanced dog food as Go Natural you may not need a "puppy" food. The foods that are coming out now are mostly all stage due to the fact they are very well balanced. A puppy food has more fat and protein in the food due to the higher energy. When you are feeding an "all stage" food the feeding guides adjust for a puppy, adult to senior due to activity level.

You did mention that your vet had made a recommendation to feed puppy food. Any decision you make regarding what to feed your pet should be made after consultation with your vet.
