QUESTION:

I have 2 chinese crested with terrible skin. They used to have blackheads, but now they just seem to have hard pearls all over their body. One has a very sensitive stomach and the only food that I have found was beneful which did not upset her tummy. I am looking to change to a natural food. They need a small kibble or soft food as they have very few teeth. They are also a bit heavy so I am concerned on their weight. What food would you recommend for skin conditions as well as senstive stomaches. I have been reading online at EVO and some of the other organic and RAW diets.

Thank you!

ANSWER:

Hi Laurel,

I'm not sure about your dogs skin issues, but trying a different food is a good idea. I would try a RAW diet for your dogs. I would slowly add a small amount to each meal, about a quarter of their food. When they tolerate that amount I would slowly add more RAW and less kibble until they are eating only RAW. Dogs that have sensitive stomachs can take a long time to make a change in their diets so go slow to prevent digest upset. We sell several RAW diets so you have a lot to choose from. Our foods are also 100% guaranteed so if they don't work out you can return the unused portion to the store and receive a refund. I hope this helps you, please stop in and visit one of our stores and a Team Member would be happy to help you choose a food for your dogs.

Thank you!
