What is the best food for a german short hair who will be hunting a lot?

Well, this is a bit of a difficult one. There is no one best food for any dog. In general, a working/hunting dog probably will require more protein, they have a tendency to get really lean during the hunting season. Native brand has the 4 different levels so you can adjust the protein without changing foods. Nutrisource carries a Performance and Super Performance formula that seems to work well. These are two that might work but I would encourage you to stop by or call your local Chuck & Don's and talk to any staff member who can help you determine what might be best for your specific dog.
